Men’s and Women’s Wrestling 

After a hiatus due to the global pandemic, wrestling is back at Blue Lights College. We are excited about the addition of our new Men’s and Women’s Head Coach, Adrian Soto- Perez, to the Blue Lights family! 

In addition to our outstanding men’s program that has produced an All- American NCWA competitor, we are proud to announce we are welcoming our first recruiting class of women’s wrestlers to compete on the national level! 

Meet Vice President Scott Catt

Scott Catt is a Vice President at Blue Lights College. Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Scott earned a master’s degree from University College London in the United Kingdom and completed further graduate work at Harvard University.

Scott has worked with basketball teams across the world,and has been a professor of business and history. In his work, Scott has led teams of educators, administrators and students across the globe. In the world of business, Scott has served as executive vice president of several international and is the former national team head coach for the nation of the South Sudan in Africa as well as the Apache Nation.  

Blue Lights College Five Years and Counting

Blue Lights College will usher in year five as an established career college this fall. President Jacques K. Gilbert announced the beginning of a new academic calendar with classes for incoming freshman beginning September 5, 2022. Gilbert stated, “We are excited about our continued mission to provide opportunities to recent high school graduates and others with the passion to discover their purpose.”

Blue Lights College is the first police preparatory college in the nation with a focus to attract individuals through an immersive 2-Year Police Science curriculum with unique experience introducing life skills with career opportunities. The college also offers a 7-Week Career Changer Police Preparatory program for individuals exploring a career focus reset. Blue Lights College continues to be a leading recruitment pipeline placing graduates in North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement(BLET)programs and employment at local police departments and security organizations.
